The 3rd round of the TRU Regional 7’s Competition

The weekend of 10th & 11th October 2020 sees the next chapter in Thailand’s rugby rehabilitation since Covid 19 restrictions were lifted on the sport a few months ago.
The Thai Rugby Union has done a sterling job in getting the sport moving again around the country, and after the highly successful Thailand Rugby Roadshow “Rugby On Tour Clinics”, that visited many regions, its now time for another TRU visit to Chiang Mai this time in the guise of the Thai National Rugby 7’s Championships.
Suthep Municipal Stadium Moo 13, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai is the venue where there will be many age groups competing from boys and girls U 12’s through to seniors. It’ll be exciting to see both boys & girls teams in action throughout the weekend and the university section looks like it will be highly competitive .
In the seniors we have three member teams of Northern Thailand Rugby involved, with the Lanna Lions Rugby, Maejo Rugby and Phayao Rugby along with Chiang Rai Student’s Club. Winners of the individual tournament’s will play in the 7’s final’s over the weekend of October 31st, November 1st 2020 to be held in Bangkok
We wish all team’s a fun and competitive weekend and may the best team win
